Stationary - New Arrivals

My package from Jetpens have finally arrived. I have ordered a Retro 51 Tornado Vintage Metalsmith Franklin edition pen, a Fisher Space Pen and a Uni Jetstream Alpha Grip. My initial thoughts about the pens the moment I ripped them from the packaging can easily be summed up with one word awestruck.

I am amazed at the workmanship on the Retro 51 pen. The intricate foral pattens on the barrel of the pen is so beautiful. The twist mechanism is smooth. However, I found the pen's balace slightly off for me. The ink is too bold and heavy for my taste. No worries on that count because I had ordered a pack of Parker Quink Gel refills

Retro 51 Tornado - Franklin Edition

I am pleasantly surprised at the size of the Fisher Space pen. The sleek and polished exterior of the pen is so different from the Lamy Pico that I was using before. I prefer the balace of the Fisher Space pen especially after the cap is posted on the pen. I didn't really like the design of the pen's interior. The ink is smooth and easy.

I wasn't epecting the Jetstream to come with a metal barrel, I had expected a thinner plastic/metal body similar to the Uni Alpha Gel Grip pen The Jetstream is by far the cheapest on this order but I love the ink the best. If only there is Jetstream refills for every pen.

Overall, I was pleasantly surprised at the speed of the shipping from Jetpens. I am very happy with all my pens and I can't wait to put them through their paces!
