Review: Pelikan Edelstein Sapphire

This is my very first time trying Pelikan's high end line of inks - the Edelstein (Germany for gemstone) series. The price of the Edelstein inks are on par with Pilot's Iroshizuku inks. Personally, I don't really enjoy the shade of blue that Sapphire is. It looks very much like a pastel blue and a little washed out. I prefer stronger colours like the Iroshizuku Kon Peki.

However as a functioning ink the flow and dry time is excellent. It has some minor shading.

Note: I have since used the ink in my Pilot Kakuno and it has since yield a different shade of blue. I much prefer the new shade of blue as it is more saturated and darker.
