Review: Rohrer and Klingner Scabiosa

This is a modern iron gall ink. Iron gall inks are usually corrosive if left in a pen for too long. I was initially hesitant to put this ink into my pen. However, the lure of using a new ink overpowered my caution.

Scabiosa is a dusty purple that looks regal and very vintage-like. It has excellent shading but has an extended dry time that I found with Noodler's inks. Otherwise, it has been a wonderful experiene using a modern iron gall ink. Scabiosa is well behaved ink, I wouldn't hesitant to use modern iron gall inks now if they all behaved the same way.
