Review: Pelikan Edelstein Amethyst

This is Pelikan’s 2015 ink of the year. It is a deep grape purple colour. It shades well from a deep dark purple to a lighter muted lavender colour. Though Pelikan inks have the reputation to be drier than most, Amethyst doesn’t feel like it is a dry ink. It does have an excellent dry time on Kokuyo paper. It flows well in my Sailor fountain pen, when I first filled it.

My thanks to Julius Yap for the cartridge of Pelikan Amethyst. You have made me want to get a bottle of this.
