Review: Sailor Jentle Grenade + Giveaway

I know, I know it's really unfair that I am reviewing an ink that's already discontinued but I can't bring myself to say no when a fellow fountain pen lover offered me a bottle. My thanks to him for his kind donation.

Sailor Jentle Grenade used to be part of Sailor's regular ink line up. It is a beautiful red ink that shades really well. It's also a wet ink and it shades really well. The ink shades from a dark maroon to a bright almost pink hue. I must say that it is really similar to the Sailor Jentle Oku Yama except Grenade is a brighter and better shading ink. I found it takes many rounds of flushing to clean the ink out of my nibs though. It's status as a well loved and sought after ink is well deserved. I found Wonder Pens still have stocks of this ink. Grab it while stocks lasts.

I am giving away 3 5ml samples of the Sailor Jentle Grenade. This is open only readers residing in Singapore. All you have to do is to tell me what's your favourite ink as a comment below before 19th May midnight. I would appreciate it if you would follow me on my new Twitter account @_althaven. The winner will be announced on 19th May and he or she will have 1 week to contact me to claim their prize!
