Review: Visconti Brown

This is my first experience with Visconti inks. They come in a pretty little plastic bottle. I would really prefer if they had kept the bottles in glass. The bottle has a wide body but narrow bottom shape. It’s a dangerous design considering that I’ve almost toppled the bottle more than once. It’s a pretty design but it’s probably not very practical. Visconti Brown is on the reddish spectrum of brown inks. It shades from a dull matte brown to a dark brown. Plus, the dry time on Kokuyo paper just fantastic. However overall, I thought Visconti Brown doesn’t stand out from other brown inks.

My thanks to Miles Rind. Miles had mentioned in the comments below that the clear cover that covers the bottle can be turned upside down. By placing the bottle into the inverted plastic cover, filling a pen would be easier. That would certainly prevent accidental spillage but I would rather Visconti designed a bottle that didn't require that extra step.

My thanks to Fook Hing for providing the ink to me for review free of charge. I am giving away the bottle of Visconti Brown. All you have to do is to tell me what notebook would you pair this ink with. This giveaway will ends 25th June. The winner has one week to claim the prize otherwise I will be drawing another as the winner. This giveaway is only open to people residing in Singapore.
