2016 Pen and Ink Resolutions

It’s almost the end of 2015. Here I was trying to see how I have done for my 2015 pens and inks resolutions, I realised that I didn’t post any! Well to rectify that I am going to leave my 2016 resolutions here.

  1. Do not hesitate to give away or sell pens and inks that I do not like. There is no reason to hang onto pens if they are just going to sit there unused, the same goes for inks. Letting them go and finding them a better home is good for me and their new owners.
  2. Finish at least one bottle of ink! I have not been able to do that. I find myself trying out many samples but hardly returning to my favourite inks because there is always something new to try out.
  3. Don’t be afraid to buy 2nd hand pens. There is no harm giving pens a new home and I might get a deal out of it!
  4. Write more.
  5. Have more thoughts posts on the blog. It shouldn’t just be review after review. I should have thoughts of pens and inks that isn’t limited to what I write in my reviews, right?

Here’s to a pens and inks filled 2016 for everyone!

Pen Resolutions 2014

2013 has been my first toe dip into the world of fountain pen. It was first a toe dip then a falling head first into the deep end. I am sure all pen addicts know what I mean.

2013 I have acquired:
- Platinum Preppy - Kaweco ICE Sport Yellow M Nib
- Pilot Iroshizuku Asa Gao
- Pilot Iroshizuku Fuyu-Syogun
- TWSBI Diamond 580 F Nib
- Pilot Iroshizuku Ku-Jaku (My current favourite ink)

So for the new year I hope to:
- Use my pens more
- Sign up for Goulet Pens' Ink Drop
- Find more pen pals
- Keep at my Bullet Journal
- Begin reviewing my pens and inks
- Convert more people to the dark side!

Wish list for 2014:
- Ink drop - Noodler's Konrad Flex
- Noodler's 54th Massachusetts (UPDATE: I got a bottle from a fellow Pen Addict!)
- Noodler's Black Swan in Australian Roses
- Pilot Prera or Metropolitian (I want to try a Japanese nib)
- Field Notes (I have heard so much about them on the Pen Addict Podcast I have to get my hands on them somehow)
- Rhodia anything (They are available in Singapore but not exactly cheap.)
